Official "Unofficial SVT" Registry History:
Me at the New York International Auto Show 2005 Welcome to my SVT Registry. This is version 3.0
To give you a little history about the previous versions I should mention SVTperformance.com which hosted version 1.0 back in January 2001 as a folder called JerseyLightnings and included only the NJ owners of the SVT F150 truck. The idea quickly outgrew its intended purpose and started to include not only Lightning owners from other states but the entire SVT line up from all over the globe.
Thats when version 2.0 was born, I actually had registered SVTregistry.com and ran the site for a while until I got tired of it. I would like to bring the idea back to life today as SVTregistry.com is no longer active and it would be a shame to let something like this be forgotten, so please enjoy your visit, browse the owner galleries and submit your vehicle to SVTregistry@gmail.com.

Frequently Asked Questions: (F.A.Q.)
How do you navigate the registry?

The navigation on this site is very simple. All of the menu choices are listed in the left column. You may click the desired model name to view all the registered vehicles in that category. You may also click the individual year for each model to only view the vehicles from that model year. Some vehicles have more link options on the top right corner, for example if you wish to view all the 2004 Cobras convertibles you should click the '04 button beneath SVT COBRA link, then click Convertible link on the top right. For Mystichrome 2004 Cobras just click the Mystichrome link on the top right

What is the SVT Registry?

SVT Registry is an unofficial list of all SVT owners around the world. I do not share any information with Ford or SVTOA instead what you see is what you get. The information posted on the registry is shared with the world, its like a giant virtual car show, people display their vehicles for the purpose of showcasing what they've got to other people that visit this web site. Just like you would go to a car show to display your car for other car show goers.

SVT Registry Philosophy?

Currently, my SVT Registry philosophy is far different from what it was way back when it was first started. Right now my focus is strictly on the vehicles, listed with respect to their production #'s and their owners. I feel the cars are the reason people will visit this site, not the flashy graphics or the tid bits of news and announcements I used to use previously about up and coming SVT projects. As we all learned many of them failed, like the Mystic Gold Cobra of 2000, the Lightning Rod concept or more importantly the 3rd Generation SVT Lightning F150... Talking about them just makes people depressed more than the excitement they should create. Therefore my focus is on the current, already available product, driven by real life everyday people on the roads today. That is precisely the reason why you no longer see graphics all over the site, instead a simple use of text blends in nicely giving the owner's pictures all the proper attention they deserve.

Is SVT Registry affiliated with Ford, SVT or SVTOA?

No. SVT Registry is a site by an enthusiast for enthusiasts and therefore no SVT, Ford or SVTOA logos are used on the site. I recognize that SVT is a registered trademark of Ford Motor Company and make no attempts to infringe on their copyrights. All photos posted on this web site are the property of MyRoadTrip.net and may not be used without the prior concent of the owner.

Why should you register?

Registration is not mandatory, I have never forced anyone to join it is totally voluntary. I would like to get as many vehicles registered as there were produced, but in reality this will likely never happen. Your registration brings me one car closer to achieving this goal.

How do I get an SVT build #?

Each SVT product has been assigned a unique SVT build # that is mailed automatically to each buyer of the new product. If you have purchased a pre-owned SVT vehicle you may obtain your build # from ford by calling 800.FORD.SVT. Just have your VIN# and registration handy and they will mail you your certificate by mail. You will need to fax your current registration as proof to Ford at 313.621.2500. Special Edition SVT owners also receive a letter of authentication stating another build # for their special edition vehicle. Special edition vehicles include the Removable Hardtop 1995 Cobra Convertible, 1996 Mystic and 2004 Mystichrome Cobras and of course the 10th Anniversary 2003 Cobras.

Is there any other way to register?

There is. There are a number of message board and online communities that I post on where I have and continue to register people from. Among them are SVTperformance.com, Stangnet.com, f150online.com, corral.net, nloc.net, and some others. Users of those message boards may send me a Private Message or reply to one of my posts in order for me to add them to the registry. They must provide all the information I am looking for in order to be added. A lot of people include this information in their signature and I've added them to the registry with their permission.

Who makes the SVT Registry possible?

Me! My name is is Russell Golyak, I'm a big SVT enthusiast although I've never owned one. I feel this fact makes me rather impartial to all the SVT owners so everyone is treated equal. Nonetheless I am a big Panther Platform fan and have owned nothing but Ford ever since I got my driving license. Actually, the only vehicles I've ever owned were all Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors. Some of which I've modified, and others I've modified a lot including supercharger, exhaust, intake mods, etc. I've listed some pictures on the side for your viewing pleasure.

Why do you do it, Russ?

There's no straight answer for this question, although the one that comes the closest to summing up this hobby is boredom! Yes this is a lot of fun and it allows me to communicate with a lot of people on the internet that I would otherwise not be able to talk to. There is a number of ways you can contact me besides e-mail.
You may add my screen names to your buddy list: JerseyVics, JerseyVics@msn.com, JerseyVics.
I never really set out with an idea to create an SVT registry, it just sort of evolved into it. I first got the idea in late 2000. I wanted to create an online club for New Jersey SVT Lightning Owners. This was about three years before JLO (Jersey Lightning Owners) club was created. However when I switched servers from 4adrive.com to SVTperformance.com, it outgrew the initial intended purpose. I started expanding the site and later registered SVTregistry.com just for this purpose. The rest as they say is history. I got tired of this idea in 2003 and wanted to pass it on to SVTperformance hoping with new management it would grow bigger and better but it never did. So I re-launched it in May 2005 and this time its better than ever.

Who's Russ?

More about me. Besides being a huge Ford enthusiast I am also a college graduate, currently employed in Limousine industry working in New York City area, the capital of the world when it comes to limos. I graduated Rutgers University and New Jersey Institute of technology with two bachelor degrees in Information Systems and Criminal Justice. I build this web site based on what I learned in college and I view it as a major Information System build like a database with the build # being the primary key. Except since I'm not a programmer, I designed this whole mess in HTML and it was countless hours of eye straigning work. But the final product is very appealing because it is simple, easy to navigate and focused on the cars, which I feel is the reason people visit in the first place. So this is the only page you'll find with a lot of text, the rest is devoted to photographs of SVT vehicles. I am constantly looking for work in my field so if you are in the market for a Systems Analyst or know someone who are, please contact me for my resume at golyak@gmail.com

Do you accept Donations?

Of course. This web site has been a lot of hard work considering everything is done manually. I have spend countless hours creating a template, resizing and cropping the photos and copying and pasting new entries over several categories for each addition, so belive you me its a difficult job. I do it because its fun as I've previously mentioned but if you enjoy it and wish to donate a buck or two to help pay for hosting fees, please do so by clicking the PayPal button or send the money directly to golyak@gmail.com
You may also help out by buying me a beer at a local H(.y.)TERS... we can arrange a meeting by e-mail or if you're too far away, send the money by PayPal for my beer fund. Please specify the intended way you wish for me to spend the money in your PayPal message. Thanks a Lot, Cheers!
